Prologue - death note

致拾获此信之人：

Dear who may concern:

你好，我叫夏洛克，英文名叫Sherlock Xia，今年21岁，是中原民国公民。当你发现此信时，无论是电子版还是纸质版，我很可能已经被害死了，至于为什么只可能被害死，是因为我尊重自己的生命，在任何情况下都会尽可能求生，绝不会自杀。但即便如此，也很可能逃不了即将临到我的灭顶之灾。

Hello there, my name is Sherlock Xia. I am 21 years old, citizen of Zhong Yuan Republic. By the time you read this letter, whether or not it is the digital version or this only paper version, I might be murdered by now. I respect my life, therefore I won‘t commit suicide in any circumstances. However, I still might not be able to escape from my inevitable doom.

长话短说，中原民国再次到了危机关头，鲜血与暴力再次在这片肮脏的土地上再次生根发芽，这片土地上的人们仿佛被邪灵附身，他们再次四处行恶，到处都充满了不法的事。我虽然知道变化会很快，但从没有想到会如此之快。

Long story short, Zhong Yuan Republic is on the brink of collapse again, blood and violence sprouted again on this dirty land. The people of this country are like been possessed by demons, they commit all kinds of atrocities everywhere, crime rates skyrocketed thus the streets are no longer suitable for human to inhabit. I know that changes happen fast, but I never expect it to be this fast.

新的执政官上台后，他便立即将矛头指向任何异见人士，很快便包括了我们这些所谓的“知识分子”，听起来是不是似曾相识？我见势不妙，便计划逃往外国，只是当局早已严管边境，我便无法轻易脱身。当然，我还会尝试新的办法逃离此地，只是会很麻烦。

After the new governor got on power, he immediately pointed all the social problems towards anyone who disagree with him, including us so called "intellectuals", seems familiar? After I realised how dire the situation is, I planned to flee to other country. However, the government has already secured and closed the border, thus I cannot get away easily. Of course, I will try other methods to get out of here, it is just irritating.

但我认为我很有可能已经逃不了了。所以，如果可以的话，我希望读到这封遗书的人，能实现我的几个遗愿：

However, I thought it might be too late for me to escape. Thus, if possible, I would like you to accomplish several death wishes from me:

1.如果发现了我的尸体，不论如何，请给我一个体面的葬礼，如果尸骨无存，那就没办法了。

If you spotted my body, doesn’t matter in what condition, please give me a propper funeral, if not, then it can’t be helped.

2.如果你发现了我的父母，如果还活着，请尽可能帮助他们逃往奥特亚罗瓦并安顿下来，一切费用由我的遗产来承担。如果他们也死了，请至少妥善埋葬好他们，如果有尸体的话。下一条遗愿包含了关于我遗产的详细信息。

If you found my parents, if still alive, please help them to escape to Aotearoa, my heritage can cover the costs. If they aren‘t alive, please at least give them a proper funeral, if there is anything remain. The next wish contains critical information regarding my heritage.

3.我的遗产可以在我的保险柜和奥特亚罗瓦的银行里找到。我的保险柜在我家衣柜里，我家在**市***街**栋***室，门上是密码锁，密码是**************。保险柜的密码是这封信的日期，如果不对，钥匙就在我房间的金属笔盒里，如果钥匙也不在，你也可以用仓库里藏在地板下面的撬棍强行开启。如果一切顺利，保险柜未被盗窃的话，里面应该有一把折叠刀、一点外汇、一些金条银条、我房子的备用钥匙和一张空头支票，请拿去吧.我的银行账号是××-**-****-*******-**，密码是××××，但愿这些财富能帮到你。

You can found my heritage in my safe and the bank in Aotearoa. My safe is located at *****, **** street, ** city. The password on my door is **************. The password of the safe is the date written on this letter. If not, the key is inside the metal penbox in my room. If the key is missing, you can force open the safe using the crowbar under the floor of the storage room. If all goes right, and the safe hasn’t been looted, there should be a folding knife, some foreign currencies, some gold bars and silver bars, the backup keys of my house, and an empty head cheque, please take them with you。My bank account in Aotearoa is **-****-*******-**, the password is ****, I wish these heritage can help you.

4.无论如何，请绝对不要放弃希望。

By all means, please never give up.

如果你能实现我的遗愿的话，我对你感激不尽，如果无法实现，那也无妨。

I will be very grateful if you can accomplish my wish. If not, that is okay.

最后，如果你也是中原民国公民，请不要再作恶，立即离开这里，或许神会眷顾你，给你我所渴望的救赎。

Finally, if you are also citizen of Zhong Yuan Republic, please do not sin again, get out of here, may god have mercy on you, give me the salvation that I was looking for.

如果你是外国人，请你们千万不要同情这国家的人们，因为他们自身所承受的屈辱和苦难，多是他们应得的。

If you are a foreigner, please do not sympathize the people of this country, because they probably deserves what they get.

是时候打破这该死的循环了，如果无论如何都无法挽救这个国家及其人民的话，那就请用炽热的火焰，将这片土地上的一切烧得一干二净吧。

It is time to break this damn cycle. if you cannot save this country and its people by any means, then please burn down everything on this land.
